  6th Annual BC Aboriginal Women in Leadership Forum
Provincial Aboriginal Women in Leadership Forum Presented by:

 

The Women in Leadership Foundation in partnership with Squamish Nation would like to invite you to join us on Friday, September 24, 2010 at the Roundhouse Community Arts & Recreation Centre in Vancouver for the 6th Annual BC Aboriginal Women in Leadership Forum presented by Scotiabank Group

This forum unites people from all backgrounds to celebrate the achievements of accomplished Aboriginal women leaders of all ages and to create a ripple effect of success for the next generation of Aboriginal youth.  A panel presentation features female role models who share powerful, authentic messages of empowerment and strength highlighting how they overcame challenges to be successful in their careers and on their leadership journey.  The scholarship award presentation follows recognizing two rising Aboriginal youth leaders in BC.  A portion of event proceeds will benefit the WIL Mentorship program -  a national leadership development program. Date and Location:
Friday, Sept 24, 2010 at Roundhouse Community Arts & Recreation Centre, Vancouver

Itinerary:
- 10:45 am to 12:00 pm: Registration, Career Fair & Artist Exhibits, Networking and Lunch Buffet
- 12:00 pm to 1:30 pm: Inspiring Women Panel - Be inspired and empowered by these accomplished women leaders.  
- 1:30 pm to 1:45 pm: Award Presentation - The Scotiabank Aboriginal Women Leaders Scholarship Award recognizes Aboriginal female youth (under 30) who are active in their communities and supports their pursuit of education.  Two awards of $1,000 presented.
- 1:45 pm to 2:00 pm: Concluding Remarks and Door Prizes

Luncheon Admission is free. Donations will be accepted online or at the door.

Join us for our women's business highlight event of the year!  

WIL would like to invite you to attend our 4th Annual Ontario Women in Business Luncheon: Secrets of Being Highly Productive and Happy.  This luncheon is a part of our National Spotlight Speaker Series that showcases female role models in business and fosters the expansion of networks. Four inspirational women will share their journeys of success, practical tips and inspiration. A portion of event proceeds will benefit the WIL Mentorship program - a national leadership development program.

Date and Location:
Wednesday, September 29th, 2010 at Design Exchange, Toronto (234 Bay Street in the Toronto Dominion Centre)

Itinerary:

- 11am to 12pm:  Networking and Exhibits
- 12pm to 1pm:  Panel Presentation and Lunch

Tickets are $65. *$50 for students.
