The Women in Leadership Foundation (WIL) creates inspirational programs that bring women together to collaborate in the development of their leadership skills and creates positive change in the future of women’s leadership in Canada.

We are searching for…

Energetic and motivated individuals to apply for our internship program starting in August 2010. The program duration is four months and we require a commitment of a minimum of 4 days up to 5 days per week.

Get ready to be inspired…

You will get exposure to working on programs such as our National Spotlight Speaker Series, Aboriginal Women in Leadership Forums, SweetTalk Networking Event, SuperWomen Gala, and Mentorship Program.   You will go through training with an experienced senior intern and receive valuable feedback at the end of your program.

This is a volunteer internship position and is an excellent way for you to gain real-life work experience and receive ongoing mentoring, coaching and learning opportunities.  You will have the opportunity to network and connect with influential women in business. The knowledge and experience you accumulate will help you lay the foundation for your future career. And best of all, you will have fun!

Your responsibilities…

  • Reports directly to WIL’s Event & Program Manager and plays a key role in supporting all activities involving the planning and production of WIL events and leadership programs.
  • Liaise closely with sponsors to establish and maintain partnerships.
  • Respond to general inquires regarding the foundation and programs.
  • Provide training to future interns.
  • Perform some administrative duties as required.

Your skills and experience…

  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational and time management skills
  • Detail oriented, energetic, and exceptional communicator (verbal and written)
  • Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Eagerness to learn
  • Team player and willing to help out and perform additional tasks when required
  • Experience in planning events is an asset
