Position: Marketing and Communications Manager (National)

Your Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement marketing branding and communication strategies for WIL
  • Build strong media relationships to increase the degree of brand awareness of WIL
  • Develop marketing concepts to promote events and programs (formulate, direct and coordinate marketing activities and policies)
  • Create an annual marketing plan and provide strategic and practical support on all marketing related tasks to the team
  • Build and lead a marketing team

Your Skills & Experiences:

  • Marketing degree and a minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role
  • Knowledge of traditional and social media methods of marketing and communications
  • Experience managing a diverse team of marketing & communications professionals
  • Outstanding personality with excellent people management skills
  • Ability to lead, motivate and empower others
  • Profound strategic planner with the ability to multi-task
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

General Requirement and Commitment:

  • Non-paid volunteer position
  • Commitment for at least one year
  • Committed to Women in Leadership
  • Time needed to accomplish duties (approximately 12 – 15 hours/month depending on the time of year)
  • Attend regular meetings with other volunteers and team members after regular working hours
