The Women in Leadership Foundation Vancouver Chapter is pleased to present Women in Leadership: Building Resiliency, a virtual panel discussion. This session will be moderated by Kelly Woida, our WIL Vancouver Co-Chair.

We are delighted to have the following panelists join our discussion:

Panel Speaker Bios

Dr. Marina Adshade is a faculty member at the Vancouver School of Economics at the University of British Columbia and one of Canada’s leading experts on the economics of gender. Marina is an experienced writer, commentator, and keynote speaker. Her unique approach to understanding sex and love applies a mix of economic, sociological, biological, and psychological theories and evidence to a wide range of social issues and questions of human intimacy. Her book, Dollars and Sex: How economics influences sex and love, has been published in ten different languages and is available in bookstores around the globe. Marina has published over seventy opinion pieces and feature articles in the Wall Street Journal, Sunday Times (UK), Daily Mail (UK), Globe and Mail, Time Magazine, Psychology Today, Buzzfeed, Slate and the Daily Beast.

Carrie Gallant inspires and empowers her clients to think bigger, negotiate more powerfully and step up into greater influence and impact. She is President of Gallant Solutions Inc., and founder of The Gallant LeaderTM Institute and the EARN Your WorthTM Leaders Lab. A dynamic speaker, facilitator and pay equity advocate, Carrie brings her experience as an executive, former practicing lawyer and adjunct law professor to her work in helping clients master the art and science of negotiation and influence, conflict resolution and Conversational Intelligence®. Carrie is a regular speaker on several podcasts, online summits for women’s leadership and career mastery, and national conferences. Carrie was Invited by The White House to speak at a national U.S. conference on women’s equality. She has helped clients in many industries build resilient and engaged workplaces, develop high trust/high accountability relationships, and solve workplace issues that get in the way of success and profitability. She has also been called to several communities that have experienced disasters to help with the rebuilding resilience and recovery processes.
