About the Event

The Victoria Chapter invites you to join a dynamic gathering honoring the influence of women leaders across diverse industries and paths as we discuss "Everyday Leadership: Everyone can Lead". Engage with inspiring panelists, forge new connections, and amplify your network of support. Together, let's champion diversity, equity, and inclusion as we empower everyone to lead, every day. We look forward to seeing you there!

Panelists

Monique Sekhon, President, PMI Vancouver Island Chapter, Founder of Care-2-Share and Project Manager with the Government of Canada

  • Monique Sekhon President of the PMI Vancouver Island Chapter, and is the youngest Chapter President in PMI Global History. Monique currently works with the BC Ministry of Health focusing on projects related to mental health & substance use data, and is also the Founder and Executive Director of Care-2-Share for mental health, and Vice Chair of Learning Through Loss. Monique graduated from Simon Fraser University (SFU) with a Bachelor’s degree in Health Sciences (Honours) and recently completed her Master’s Degree in Health Administration at the University of British Columbia (UBC). In her spare time, she teaches yoga and mindfulness, enjoys running, and spends lots of time with family and friends (including her 99 year old grandpa!).

Raven Lacerte, Moose Hide Campaign Co-Founder + National Ambassador

  • Raven Lacerte is a proud member of the Lake Babine First Nation in North-Central BC and belongs to the Bear Clan. She is the Co-Founder and National Ambassador for the Campaign. Since founding the campaign with her father in 2011, Raven travels across Canada to share the medicine of the campaign. She sits on the Minister’s Advisory Council for Indigenous Women (MACIW) for the Ministry of Indigenous Relations and Reconciliation (MIRR).
  • Raven is also a proud mother of daughters Cedar Sus and Chas Yaz, and wife to Dominic Paul, a member of the Tsartlip Nation. Raven and her family gratefully live on the terrritories of the Lekwungen Peoples, the Songhees and Esquimalt Nations.

Heather van Munster, Client Executive at IBM, Founder of Women on the Rise and Co-Chair for Women In Leadership, Victoria, BC Chapter

  • Heather is a Mom to two boys, Client Executive for IBM, Co-Chair for Women in Leadership's Victoria Chapter and Founder of Women on the Rise.
  • Acknowledged for her role as a collaborative facilitator and community builder, she stands out as a fervent advocate for Women in Leadership. Her unwavering commitment to mentorship and coaching serves as a testament to her dedication in serving, supporting, and empowering ALL women.
