Community and Stakeholder Engagement

About the Role
The Women in Leadership Foundation is growing — and we need a natural connector, strategic thinker, and relationship builder to help us scale. This is a relationship management role at its core, but one grounded in genuine purpose: positioning WIL & Leading Talent as the go-to platform for employers who want to attract, develop, and retain top female talent. You will build the employer side of our community while growing our connections of high-potential women candidates, turning WIL & Leading Talent into a platform organizations are proud to invest in.

Key Responsibilities
Employer Sales & Partnerships

Prospect, pitch, and close partnerships with employers — nationally and locally — who are committed to advancing women in leadership

Sell WIL's job board postings as a targeted channel to reach high-calibre female candidates

Sign employers onto the Transforming Workplace Opportunities Community (Pathways to Placement), positioning WIL as a strategic partner in their talent and inclusive hiring initiatives

Build and manage a pipeline of employer leads, tracking outreach, follow-ups, and deal progress with an impact report

Develop compelling pitches and proposals tailored to each employer's hiring and leadership goals
Community Building & Growth

Actively grow WIL's community of women professionals and emerging leaders through outreach, events, WIL’s Chapters, stakeholders and referrals

Identify and engage women in leadership pipelines across industries who would benefit from the WIL platform

Represent WIL at networking events, conferences, and community forums to raise visibility and attract members

Cultivate long-term relationships with candidates, keeping them engaged in WIL programs and opportunities
Leading Talent Program Support

Work closely with the WIL National Team to develop and execute the Leading Talent strategy — connecting top women candidates with employers who are invested in their advancement

Identify talent gaps and employer needs, bridging the two through WIL's platform and programs

Collaborate on content, events, and initiatives that showcase WIL's value to both employers and candidates
Strategy & Reporting

Set and track targets for employer sign-ups, job board sales, and community growth milestones

Report regularly on pipeline activity, successes, and pursue growth opportunities

Provide market intelligence on employer trends, competitor platforms, and partnership opportunities

Continuously refine messaging and outreach strategies based on what is resonating
What We're Looking For
Required

Proven experience in B2B sales, business development, or partnerships — comfortable owning a pipeline from cold outreach to close

A natural networker who is energized by meeting new people, building genuine relationships, and opening doors through connection

Passionate about advancing women into leadership — you understand the landscape and can speak to it authentically

Self-starter who is comfortable working independently in a fast-moving environment and creating structure

Strong written and verbal communication skills — able to craft a pitch, tell a story, and create partnerships for WIL

Own and coordinate the WIL Mentorship Program end-to-end — from setup through sessions, recruitment, liaison with mentors and mentees, and all follow-ups

Qualifications

3+ years of experience in content creation, social media, or digital marketing

Experience as an Executive Assistant, Administrative Assistant, Event Assistor or similar support role

Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail

Placement Coordinator & Marketing Lead (Western Canada)
Type: Contract, Remote in Canada
The Placement Coordinator & Marketing Lead is responsible for leading volunteer recruitment and marketing initiatives while supporting the onboarding, placement, and engagement of youth volunteers participating in the Emerging Leaders Placement Project. This role combines communications, digital marketing, partnership development, and volunteer coordination to increase program awareness and support successful participant outcomes.

The IT & Systems / Placement Coordinator is responsible for supporting the technical infrastructure, data management systems, reporting tools, and volunteer placement processes of the Emerging Leaders Placement Project. This role ensures the effective operation of project systems while supporting volunteer onboarding, nonprofit partnerships, and data integrity.
