About the Event

On December 1, Women in Leadership Foundation, in partnership with IBM Canada, will be hosting their third gender diversity virtual storytelling event, highlighting representation issues within IT organizations. This event will include motivating personal stories, as well as practical take-aways and advice.

Career transitions and promotions in leadership roles during a pandemic.

The pandemic has turned working landscape on its head. It has disproportionately affected women. Work from home has become the new norm. As we lead, how do we ensure those who choose to work from home are not left behind and not overlooked for promotions? Being in the office and face to face with your manager should not be a pre-requisite to being promoted. Changing jobs during the pandemic is another risk factor - should we do it? Or do we stay in our comfort zone? This is a unique storytelling event, with each speaker talking about a particular subset of the topic, with all four short (10-15 minute) presentations building a larger story.

We welcome all genders, industries and professionals at any career level to join us for these conversations. Don't miss the opportunity to register for this free WIL/IBM event!

In particular, who should attend: Men and Women who are middle managers, directors, senior directors, executives who aspire to learn about the resiliency and tenacity it takes to make job transitions, build and restructure teams and organizations, integrate work life balance and reinstate relationships with executives and clients in the pandemic world.
