Crystal Sinclair is the Director of Program Strategy and Management at the Women in Leadership Foundation, where she leads the national Emerging Leaders Placement Project—an initiative designed to empower youth (ages 14–30) through meaningful volunteer opportunities, leadership development, and community connection. With a deep commitment to fostering the next generation of leaders, Crystal brings a wealth of experience in nonprofit leadership, program development, and youth engagement.
As a mother of four children ranging in age from 15 to 29, Crystal has a personal understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities facing today’s youth. Her passion for this work is rooted in her belief that investing in young people now creates ripples of positive change for communities across Canada. Having witnessed firsthand the lasting effects of COVID-19 isolation, coupled with the complex influence of social media and technology on youth socialization, she is driven to help young people build confidence, resilience, and leadership skills to thrive in an ever-changing world.
Crystal, together with the Women in Leadership Foundation, envisions the Emerging Leaders Placement Project as a catalyst for individual growth and a nationwide movement that strengthens communities and empowers youth to strive for excellence. Their shared belief is that by creating spaces where young people feel seen, supported, and inspired, we can build a stronger, more inclusive Canada for generations to come.
