We’re entering a new season at Women in Leadership - one that places well-being not on the sidelines, but at the centre of how we lead, connect, and thrive.
With that, we are thrilled to share that Heather van Munster is stepping into a new national leadership role as Director of Wellness for Women in Leadership.
Heather has been a cornerstone of the WIL community for the past five years, serving as Board Co-Chair of the Victoria chapter and as a longtime advocate for creating spaces where women feel supported, seen, and strengthened - not just professionally, but personally.
Heather is also the Founder of Women on the Rise, a social impact organization dedicated to empowering women through connection, collaboration, and shared leadership. The work centres on creating spaces where women are supported to grow individually while contributing to something larger - recognizing that lasting change is built when women are resourced, connected, and moving forward together.
Professionally, Heather brings a rare blend of strategic leadership and human-centred coaching. She currently serves as Director of Client Solutions at IX Solutions, holds Executive Coaching credentials from Royal Roads University, and has recently completed her Personal Training Certification, further deepening her commitment to whole-person wellness.
As a mother of two active boys, a leader navigating demanding roles, and a woman deeply engaged in her own wellness journey, Heather brings not just expertise - but lived experience.
In her new role, Heather will lead the Women in Leadership Wellness Program for 2026, shaping a year of:
Monthly virtual wellness sessions
Nationwide wellness walks
Chapter-led and pop-up experiences
Programming that supports resilience, energy, longevity, and connection
All designed with accessibility, inclusivity, and real life in mind.
This isn’t about adding more to your plate.
It’s about creating space - to breathe, to move, to reconnect, and to lead from a place that is sustainable and strong.
We’re so excited for what’s ahead and can’t wait to share the many ways the WIL Wellness Program will support, energize, and empower our community in 2026.
✨ Welcome to the next chapter of wellness at Women in Leadership.
