Jaelynn Miller – Communications Lead, Women in Leadership Foundation

Jaelynn Miller is a passionate communicator and creative who was born and raised in Kelowna, BC, and now calls Coquitlam home. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biology from UBC Okanagan in 2024, where she developed a strong foundation in science and discovered how much she enjoys working with people and being involved in her community.

In the summer of 2024, Jaelynn joined the Women in Leadership Foundation as a summer student. What began as a short-term opportunity quickly became a turning point. Drawn to storytelling, digital engagement, and community-building, she discovered a deep passion for marketing and social impact. By April 2025, she stepped into the role of Communications Lead and now leads digital strategy and engagement for the Foundation’s Emerging Leaders Placement Project.

Jaelynn also volunteers as Chair of the Youth Steering Committee, where she helps shape programming through a youth-led lens and advocates for inclusive leadership development. She believes youth are not just the leaders of tomorrow but powerful changemakers today. As an advocate for youth engagement, Jaelynn encourages young people to explore volunteer opportunities as a way to build confidence, gain leadership experience, and kickstart their careers.

With a background in science and a love for creativity, Jaelynn thrives at the intersection of curiosity, communication, and purpose. She is a lifelong learner who finds joy in exploring new ideas, building community, and helping others feel seen and valued.

When she’s not working or volunteering, you can find her golfing, doing yoga, colouring, or watching reality TV, especially The Summer I Turned Pretty or Big Brother, to recharge.
